All
claims are important and our goal is to provide you with a timely and
effective response to your claims in the event of a catastrophe.
Catastrophes due to weather-related events result in an influx of
claims, making it a challenge to handle the crisis without compromising
the service you expect on a day-to-day basis.
BM&B has established an Emergency Claim Center within our organization
to handle the influx of claims associated with any weather-related
event, as they pose obstacles and potential overloads that can
literally shut down an agency that has not considered contingent
plans.
What We Have Done
While the changes are mostly behind the scenes, we want to make you
aware of some steps BM&B has taken to better serve you in a catastrophic
situation. |
- BM&B has designated a “war” room in the event a
catastrophe interrupts the electricity coming into our
building.
- We have reinforced the windows to protect them from flying
debris.
- We have installed a generator to provide auxiliary power
for air conditioning, computers, lights and our telephone
system. We will be able to keep 12 employees on the phones
taking and reporting claims.
- If our building should lose electrical power, we will be
up and running, hopefully with little inconvenience to you.
In the event the telephone lines coming into our building
are down, we have added Disaster Routing to our telephone
system. In this case, when you call our main number, you
will hear a recording which will offer several claim
reporting options. We also have an office in Fort Smith,
Arkansas that will be able to assist in handling claims
calls at 1-800-598-9656.
- In the event our building is un-tenantable, we can
temporarily relocate to our Fort Smith office. This too will
be relayed to you when you call our main number and we will
then provide you with a list of options or other numbers to
call. Whatever the situation, someone from BM&B should be
available to handle your claim or return your call in a very
short period of time.
- If necessary, we will extend our hours and work through
the weekends.
